The AE86 Toyota Corolla is already 20 years old, and yet to this day remains an reconing force in motorsports. Most predominantly used in drifting, the AE86 dominates the drift series against opponents with overwhelming power and advanced technology while sticking to the basics of performance with balance and agility.

The AE86 Corolla is well balanced and is most often powered by the race-proven 4A-GE motors that transfer enegery through their FR-Drivetrain. Though this vehicle is an amazing vehicle in it s stock form, it always leaves something to be desired for the truth enthusiast who has the need to bring the most out of their performance machine.

Megan Racing has taken on the AE86 Corolla GTS/SR5 Chassis and has finally unveiled our Coilover Damper Kit. After months of development and assistance from several D1GP and Formula-D drivers, Megan Racing was finally able to perfect our Suspension System for these extremely popular cars while being cost-effective.

Our damper kits feature Built-In Camber plates which would normally market for about $240.00 and give you the full adjustable Ride-Height capabilities as most $2,000+ suspension systems in the market.

These dampers are NOT a Direct Bolt-On, however, because you need to Re-Use your OEM front spindles. We did this to maintain a lower cost for the enthusiast, as the OEM spindles are perfectly able to be reused in most cases. The operation is simple and most shops that have the ability to weld using either a MIG or TIG welder can complete the operation in usually under an hour.

After removing your front Shock casings with the spindles, mark off 40mm from the top of the spindle base and cut. Once you have the spindles with 40mm of tubing pertruding from them, simply slide the Megan Casings over the shock casings until they are butted up against the spindle casting, and simply weld COMPLETELY around the casing with either a MIG or TIG welder (NOT AN ARC WELDER!!!). Once this is done, simlpy screw on the bottom bracket onto the suspension system and you are ready to go reassemble your front suspension.

The shocks have a tolerance of 2kg +/- so you are able to purchase springs seperately to tune your spring combination as you please.
